Built on psychologist John Holland’s theory, it’s backed by more than 80 years of research into how people of similar interests are employed, and what motivates individuals in the workplace. The Strong Interest Inventory ® assessment provides robust insight into a person’s interests, so you can help them to consider potential careers, their educational path and the world of work. Strong Interest InventoryĬost: current student/alumni members $15 and community members $40 High school students may schedule an appointment if they are admitted into a post-secondary institution for the next semester (please see community member eligibility). Please note - it is not recommended for high school students to complete the Myers Briggs Type Indicator or Strong Interest Inventory due to these assessments having greater reliability for individuals 18 years of age and older. This package includes the career assessment and an interpretation of results by a certified Career Development Facilitator. Career Assessments are available to community members at a package rate of $75 for both assessments, or $40 each. Career Services offers professional career assessments for $15 each to students and alumni. UNM alumni are required to submit a copy of their unofficial transcript to document UNM alumni status. UNM Career Services serves all UNM students and alumni free of charge who are eligible to apply for experiential education, employment opportunities, or admission to graduate/professional schools. The tools described below are utilized by our Career Development Facilitators to help you expand and explore career options and/or choosing or changing your major. We offer computerized assessment tools, which are used to assist you in your career decision making.
